Tag the Vows is a browser tool, not a data business. Here is exactly what happens to the names you type.
Your names stay in the tab
The hashtag generator runs as JavaScript in your browser. The names, date, and story you enter are used to build the tags on your device. This page does not send them to a server.
No accounts, no uploads
There is no signup, no login, no file upload, and no email capture. The “Save image” button draws a PNG in your browser and downloads it directly to your device.
Hosting logs
Like any website, the static host that serves these pages may keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and reliability. Those logs are separate from the generator and are not used to rebuild your names.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-QT91VKFN8L) to count visits and learn which pages are useful. The Google tag runs in consent mode on every page. Before you choose, it does not send a pageview or set analytics cookies. If you allow it, Google may set cookies and process visit data as described in Google’s privacy policy. If you decline, analytics storage stays off.
Advertising
This build does not include advertising scripts. We may enable Google AdSense to keep the free tool running. If ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Where required, we will ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can manage ad personalization in Google’s Ads Settings. This page will be updated before ads ship.
